We aim to foster an interest and enjoyment in learning another language at a young age.

We recognise and respect that children join us speaking other languages and acknowledge the contribution that they can make in sharing their skills and culture with our school family.

We want to stimulate the children’s enjoyment through interactive and engaging lessons. We hope to make young children aware that language has structure, and that the structure differs between languages.

We want to help children develop their awareness of cultural differences in other countries and develop their speaking and listening skills. Through role-play and drama, the children will use their improving skills to develop conversational language. We hope this lays the foundations for future study.
